Join us Thursday, May 10th at 6:30PM to discuss Contemporary Cuban Art from the 1980s to the present with Fabián Leyva-Barragán, Curatorial Fellow at the Walker Art Center.

Fabián Leyva-Barragán is a curatorial fellow in the Visual Arts Department at the Walker Art Center. Among his curatorial duties at the Walker, Fabián coordinated and managed the presentation of “Adiós Utopia: Dreams and Deceptions in Cuban Art Since 1950” along with Olga Viso, the Walker’s former director, following the exhibition’s initial showing at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Prior to the Walker, Fabián was a curatorial assistant in the Department of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, CA, where he worked in the exhibition: “Photography in Argentina, 1850-2010: Contradiction and Continuity”, which was part of the Getty Foundation's "Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA" initiative.
